Held on Sunday, June 12th, the Harcourt Developments Queen’s Cup Final, of which DeWitt is the Official Timing Partner, was a fantastic success despite the torrential rain. After a breathtaking game, Facundo Sola, the 19-year-old player of the Talandracas team, scored the “golden goal” in extra time to give his team its first Queen’s Cup victory. His patron, Edouard Carmignac, who has twice won the subsidiary trophy, received the silver cup from HRH Prince Harry.
The much coveted DeWitt Most Valuable Player prize went to Milo Fernandez-Araujo who stepped up to receive his prize from the hands of Mr Jérôme de Witt: a dazzling customized Chronostream timepiece in rose gold and tantalum, displaying the miniature logo of the Guards Polo Club, meticulously hand-reproduced on its dial. Indeed, in 2010, for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Queen’s Cup, Mr de Witt had the great honour to present H.M The Queen Elizabeth II with a commemorative DeWitt watch, the Dame de Pressy (read more).
As official timekeeper of The Queen’s Cup for the second consecutive year, Montres DeWitt also sponsored the Best Playing Pony prize, which was received by Enigma’s Juan Martin Nero for his seven-year-old Argentine bay mare Chica.
